What is the Sports Premium?
In April 2013, the Government announced new PE and sport funding of £150 million for Physical Education (PE) and sport. This funding is intended to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision. The funding has been provided to ensure impact against the following objective:
To achieve self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport in primary schools. It is important to emphasise that the focus of spending must lead to long lasting impact against the vision (above) that will live on well beyond the PE and sport funding.

Year 6 Swimming and Water Safety Attainment Data 2023/24
Schools are required to publish how many pupils within their year 6 cohort are meeting the national curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations." Below are the results from St Augustine's in 2023.
