We welcome applications for both new Reception intake and in-year transfers. Follow the steps below to ensure your application is complete.

Open Mornings and School Tours

We regularly hold open mornings throughout the year for families interested in joining St. Augustine’s. During these events, you can meet our headteacher, tour the school and grounds, and ask any questions you may have.

Upcoming Open Mornings:

  • Wednesday, 8th January 2025, 9:15am–11:15am

We begin with a short introduction by our Headteacher, followed by a tour of the school and its wonderful grounds, with plenty of opportunity to ask any questions.

Reception Intake (Starting in September)

1. Attend an Open Morning or School Tour

Join us to explore our school grounds and meet our staff and children.

2. Apply via Kent County Council (KCC)

3. Submit the Supplementary Information Form (SIF)

If relevant, include a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate or a reference from your faith community.

4. Review Important Documents

  • Admissions Policy and Procedure: Download from this page or request a hard copy from our office.
  • Privacy Notice for Parents and Carers: Available under the Privacy Notices section on our website.

In-Year or Casual Applications (Year R and Years 1-6)

If you are applying outside the Reception intake period or for Years 1-6:

1. Attend an Open Morning or Book a Personal Tour

  • In-year applicants are welcome to attend an Open Morning or schedule a personal tour to see our facilities and learn more about our school community.

2. Complete the In-Year Application Forms

3. Submit Required Documentation

  • Include any relevant documents, such as baptismal certificates or other faith references, with your SIF. These documents help us to fairly rank applications.

4. If you wish to appeal

  • If your application is not successful, you have the option to submit an appeal. A copy of your application and SIF will be submitted to the Appeal Panel.

    If your child is due to start primary school in September 2025, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Wednesday 16th April 2025).

    You must submit your appeal before Tuesday 20th May 2025 for it to be considered. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
